The visiting Professorship for Political Management of the Stiftung Mercator fosters the Universities position in the metropolitan Rhein-Ruhr area and its excellence in political science.
The quality of teaching at the NRW School of Governance is greatly enhanced through external competencies which are personified by the visiting professors. On a yearly basis visiting professors from fields such as political management, public policy and public administration are regularly appointed.
Visiting Professors for political management are fully integrated in the teaching and research activities of the NRW School of Governance. The Stiftung Mercator visiting professorships are awarded to experts from politics, administration, media or industry.
